Bonhard House

Description

A traditional 19th century garden of five acres with mature trees including hollies, sequoias, Douglas Fir and a mid-19th century monkey puzzle. Extensive lawns, rhododendron and azalea beds, herbaceous borders, ponds, and an oak drive lined with primulas and daffodils. There is also a productive kitchen garden, wooded area and a walk up behind the house to a Pinetum containing more than 25 species.

Directions

From Perth take the A94 north to Scone. Before you reach Scone turn right at the sign to Murrayshall Hotel. Continue for about one mile. The house drive is on the right where the road turns sharp left. From Balbeggie take the A94. Turn left, signposted for Bonhard one mile north of Scone and in half a mile turn right. House drive is on the left where the road turns sharp right shortly after Bonhard Nursery.
