Colinton Gardens

Colinton Gardens - NEW FOR 2017

Three Colinton gardens on the north side of the village, two of which surround early cottage-style houses by Sir Robert Lorimer. They are mature gardens with interest and colour in all seasons. There are herbaceous borders, rockeries, ponds and water features. Plants to be seen, hopefully if the weather is kind, will include Meconopsis napaulensis, Carpentaria californica, Cornus kousa, Oriental poppies, crinodendron, marsh orchids, anenomes, salvias and a large specimen of blue abutilon. As a backdrop, a wonderful vista of the Pentland Hills.
Gardens are located at: 21 Pentland Avenue EH13 0HY, 42 Pentland Avenue EH13 OHY and 16 Gillespie Road EH13 0LL.

Access to all the gardens may be made from Pentland Avenue which leads off Gillespie Road which runs from Colinton village to the Lanark Road crossroads.
