Blair House - Captain's Walk

Blair House, Blair Estate

Description

Blair is a ‘Sleeping Beauty’ of a garden which is being lovingly restored. There is an atmosphere of a grand 19th century park with masses of changes in mood: sweeping vistas, magnificent trees, shady promenades, and secret groves - everything that is typical of the period. A start on the walled garden has been made with the removal of 600 Christmas trees and we are compiling ideas for future renovation. In February enjoy beautiful displays of snowdrops. Walks on the estate will include access to the private gardens. Please wear stout footwear.
