Greenbank Garden

Description

A unique walled garden with plants and designs of particular interest to suburban gardeners. There is also a fountain and a woodland walk. Annual Schools’ Wheelbarrow Competition and Treasure Hunt. Come along and vote for your favourite wheelbarrow, decorated by local school children. There will also be a children’s treasure hunt round the garden with prizes.

Directions

Flenders Road, off Mearns Road, Clarkston. Off M77 and A727, follow signs for East Kilbride to Clarkston Toll. Bus 4a, Glasgow to Newton Mearns. Rail - Clarkston station 1¼ miles. Buses - 4 and 4a, Glasgow to Newton Mearns. Rail - Clarkston Station 1¼ miles.

Normal NTS admission applies, £2.00 per treasure hunt ticket

Other Details

National Plant Collection ®: Bergenia cvs. & spp. All dogs on leads are welcome in the woodland. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the garden. There is no disabled access to Greenbank House but full access to the garden.
