The Quoy of Houton

The Quoy of Houton

Description

An historic walled garden a stone's throw away from the sea and completely restored in 2008. The garden is planted to withstand winds in excess of 100 mph and features drystone walling features, raised beds and a 60 foot water rill. The planting reflects its coastal location and is planted in the cottage garden style with towering allium, many varieties of geranium and plants collected from around Europe. There are wild flower areas which encourage bees and butterflies. There is a separate walled vegetable garden and fruit cage which supplies the house and B&B and cottage guests.
