Scotland's Gardens

Megginch Castle

Megginch Castle

Description

Come and help us Celebrate our 50th year of opening for charity with Scotland's Gardens on Easter Sunday afternoon. Join the great Megginch Easter Egg Hunt and see if the Lollipop Tree Fairy has decorated her Lollipop tree for this special occasion! Let your children run through the Heritage Orchard on a scavenger hunt and enjoy delicious home baked teas under the ancient Yew trees where monks once walked over a thousand years ago. Walk round the formal French parterre, past this romantic fifteenth century turreted castle (not open) through the unique Gothic stable yard and on to the double walled kitchen garden with its newly planted Cider Apple walk.

Directions

Approach directly off the A90, Perth-bound carriageway, half a mile on the left after Errol/Inchmichael flyover, between two stone lodge gatehouses. It is seven miles from Perth and eight from Dundee.
