A walled garden surrounding an Arts and Crafts villa which provides an unexpected haven off a busy road. Planted and maintained with shape and texture in mind. In early May there should be a fine display of flowering shrubs including rhododendrons, tulips and other bulbs. In the autumn the herbaceous border has a renewed flourish and there should be autumn crocuses, nerines, dahlias and usually plentiful apples.
Murrayfield Road runs north from Corstorphine Road to Ravelston Dykes. There is easy parking available which is free. Buses 26, 31 and 38; get off at Murrayfield Stadium.
