Shawhead - NEW FOR 2017

Description

A young, four year old, garden situated on the edge of Lochmaben and with delightful views overlooking The Mill Loch. It has immaculately maintained and  very many well furnished borders bursting with colour and a  great variety of plants.  There are well over 200 RHS Award of Garden Merit cultivars and a collection of 150 Phlox paniculata cultivars.

Directions

From Dumfries, turn right opposite The Crown Hotel, turn left at give way and then sharp left . From Lockerbie, take the right fork beside the Town Hall and after 1/2mile, take left turn.

Admissions

£7.00 to include Homemade tea (accompanied children free)

Castle Loch, Lochmaben Community Trust receives 40%, the net remaining to SG Beneficiaries

Other Details

The walk around Mill loch takes about 30-40 minutes from the house. Wear suitable walking shoes.For keen walkers, the nearby Castle Loch also has a lovely walk of about 3 1/2 miles.
