Description

An interesting 1.2 acre plantsman's garden punctuated with topiary, trees and shrubs, surrounding a 19th century listed baronial lodge. The National Collection is integrated with a further 150 other hosta varieties on a natural terraced wooded bank.

Directions

From Dumfries take A76 north. At Holywood take B729 (Dunscore). After one mile turn left (Morrinton). After three miles red sandstone lodge is on right, behind black iron railings.

National Plant Collection ®: Hosta plantaginea hybrids and cultivars. The plants, of which there is a great variety, are of exceptional quality and all grown and brought on in situ at Newtonairds Lodge.
