Obituary: Sir Robin Bt (Edinburgh) St Clair-Ford

We have been informed that Robin St. Clair-Ford died last week; his funeral will take place on Friday 3 June.

In the company of his family, on May 12, 2016, husband of Alison, father of Sam and Peter and grandfather of Lily. So much loved by his family and his many friends. Funeral at 2.30 pm, on Friday, June 3, at St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh. Donations, if desired, to Mercy Corps or RSPB.

Robin was a former Director of Scotland’s Gardens Scheme; he was employed from 1983 and retired in 2006. Robin was very highly thought of by everyone who knew him, he transformed Scotland’s Gardens Scheme and people still remember him fondly especially the tour visitors (or as he described them “my old ladies”) that he took to selected gardens on an annual basis. Robin always thought of Scotland's Gardens Scheme like a family and he will be greatly missed by many here.
